There not too Bad and there we go nice that's pretty Good these two very cool and also very Unique and cheap RC plain things were on The channel not very long ago back when We had a little bit of snow on the Ground and they actually flew Surprisingly well especially considering The price there's a lot lot of Differences between the two of these and We're here at the lake today to test Both of them in one video to see how They fly off of water because you guys Let us know in the comments that you Really wanted to see if these things can Perform off of water you'll notice one Has the prop set up as a pusher prop Also there's lights on this one and no Movable control surfaces but it was Surprisingly powerful it even felt a Little bit more powerful than this guy This one's set up with two cooler props And it actually does have a movable Control surface for the elevator which Gives you a little bit more control While you're in the air my prediction Today in this video is that both of These will struggle to get off of the Water because when you're taking off of Water you really need a little extra Speed and lift because that water kind Of acts like glue holding your plane Down until you finally kind of pop up Out of the water so uh that's my
Prediction let me know what you guys Think in the comments will one perform Per form better than the other let us Hear it in the comments let's put these In the water and jump in the air and see How they Do okay here we Go well it passes the float Test Now can It actually oh yeah look at that we can Drive it on the water no we don't have Reverse or anything so we got to be very Careful about flying this on a windy day But you guys will notice the water is Glass today so we chose this day very Specifically to do this let's see if we Can oh yeah look at That not We're flying off water on this thing so I think this one was called like the Galaxy Starship Cruiser something like That it had the cool name and I think I Liked it maybe the most um it really has A nice flight stabilizer can do stunts But I don't think we're going to do many Stunts on this today because my battery Compartment actually look at the bird Chasing me all all three of those birds Are chasing me the battery compartment I Had to pop it off and back on I think Because I was having a small issue with The power button or something uh the Indicator light stopped working I think Is what actually happened uh I didn't Need to pop it off but that's what I
Ended up doing as my solution um but Yeah it can do some stunts so if you Want to see it doing stunts you have to Check out our Maiden flight video with It it was really pretty cool now let's See if we can do I'm nervous to do it Cuz I don't have a ton of control over It but I want to do a touch and Go there not too bad Bad and there we go nice that's pretty Good that's not bad at All I was not expecting to have this Kind of performance and this much fun With it off of water on a windy day it Probably wouldn't do so great but we've Got a nice calm morning Here and I can't remember what the price Of this was but it's well under $100 Look at all the birds chasing it look at That look at all it's got five Birds Chasing me doing like a Harrier that's Cool isn't It just easy on the throttle now we can Pick up the throttle and this thing goes A little bit faster see if we can do Another little touch and go and then We'll have to test the other one too oh That was a little Splash and [Laughter] Go okay Let's also I like that we have the Ability to actually drive this on the Water and taxi it in so if we land it Out here see I can just steer it right
In now I could land on the land if I Need to but watch this that easy to Recover our plane right in the goose [Music] Poo okay we can steer this one a little Bit too so that's good yeah we have Differential thrust and that's what Gives us the ability to steer in the air And on the water here we go now what This one doesn't have is an elevator Control surface so you really have to Manage your throttle and because it's a Pusher prop it's a little Louder so we're just like zero throttle Just about right now so we can glide it Back Down but it flew off of the water really Well actually it almost has too much Lift it has way too much lift not almost So I wish this one had an elev control Surface when flying over the water Because it's a little less predictable I Mean I can fly it okay but if I hit the Wrong gust of wind at the wrong angle I Could definitely get myself stuck in a Dive that didn't feel comfortable like If I didn't know how to fly this one Based on the throttle I could probably Easily Splash it down in the water so Check this out we'll do we'll try to do A little bit of a loop Here throttle and then throttle punch It see we can do some Loop with this and That is just with my throttle so this
One has throttle and steering and if you Don't manage your throttle what ends up Happening is you kind of get into a Little see like pping like that once you Get into it it's kind of hard to recover From it not impossible especially if you Have flown these things before but this One's actually doing really well too so You know there's less things Electronically that can go wrong with it And mechanically because it doesn't have That additional Servo so I suppose if You Splash that around in the water too Much you could lose your Servo this one Is um I guess in that sense a little bit More waterproof but definitely more Durable so it's definitely a more Durable plane in fact I think I remember Crashing it a bunch in the maiden flight Trying to do low loose these things are Made out of foam yes but this type of Foam is basically rubber I mean they're So bouncy and almost unbreakable this Really cool now let's see the ultimate Challenge with this one is going to be If I can do a touch and go so let me get It in at the right Angle going to go right to left if I Can and we don't want to go in too steep So we just got to do throttle management Like crazy oh so that one's much Harder but I kind of would count that as A touch and go now on my see I don't Have any elevator so right now I'm just
Hoping it hopped up off the water but it Didn't want to so because of that Instead of losing the Plane I'm just going to park it right There I think I think that ended up uh Performing really close to my Expectations but also I think both Actually performed better than where my Expectations were unfortunately I've Done a little bit of damage to this one Just by popping this off now because the Flight stabilizer is built into this I Actually need to go home I it still fits On very snugly very snug which is why I Was okay to fly it today but now that I Know how it performs and everything I Need to hot glue that back in place Place ultimately if you like the goofy Flying Tendencies but still powerful Ability to do loops and have the lights This is the one for you it's a little More beginner friendly too because those Props are just mounted in a really nice Place where they're very unlikely to Ever break or strike anything it would Be a bit of a challenge you'd have to Flip it upside down and be like Full Throttle to really do any damage super Durable very very forgiving but also uh Slightly harder to fly honestly because Of that throttle management and trying To avoid purposing this one has more Control in the air and I think it just
Flies a little better it's also a lot Quieter because it's a puller prop not Pusher props it flew much quieter you Almost couldn't hear it at all and if You think you want to fly off of water I Really did love having the extra control Surface it gave me a lot of control that I needed I could actually perform nice And smooth touch and goes and the Takeoff wasn't as scary as the other one Now both of these are going to be linked In the description box below pick out Whichever one you love but these would Make great gift options too again I Think the Galaxy ship is probably the Best one but make sure you pick up the Right thing cuz I've seen a lot of off Brands of these and some don't perform Like these do so you're doing a couple Things when you use that link you're Making sure you get the right RC but You're also supporting our Channel and Our family at no extra cost to you when You buy things using our links so we Thank you guys very much now this was Kind of a unique little situation here These things are both under 250 g They're not going to hurt anyone or Anything if they would happen to hit Anyone or anything they are really just Like toys in fact in my opinion most of Foam planes are basically well they are They're toys and they're foam and they Should be really the least of our
