Having Fun with a Fully-Built Suyata Dr.I and Red Baron! | Model Kit Closer Look

Just doing a follow-up on some of the things
that i do do that we've been showing you and   around everything else i actually have been
doing some modelling okay i know it's only   clipped together and everything else but it
was a lot of fun to do this is the Suyata   Fokker a tri-plane Red Baron type of thing
probably took about oh 10-12 hours to put together   it's it's a little fiddly so you've got to make
sure that you've got everything locked in and   and pushed in tight and everything else but
it's it was such a fun little airplane there's   the stick the markings are decals so you need to
use them properly they're not stickers but uh as   a little model it's quite it's about 32nd scale
roughly if you in comparison to the real plane a   couple of things i came across that you've got to
be careful of the fuselage is very tight and it's   very precise so you've got to make sure that
everything's lined up properly especially when   you go to there's a part just in through there
this bar that runs through that sort of ties   everything together that has to line up properly
so make sure those holes there are done properly   if you build one the detail in the cockpit is
quite fun it's you know there's all sorts of   bits and pieces in there the only other thing i
did wrong there's two struts here at the front   and everywhere else you clip off the parts
and you clean it up and everything else   on these particular two struts there's actually a
little piece that extends do not cut that off cut   it right off at the base of the sprue not where
i thought it was supposed to be because they   actually lock into the little holes in the front
so a little bit of forewarning but hey it's a lot   of fun the engine goes around the wheels go round
and there is a little figure that goes with it i   haven't painted him yet because i'm not a figure
painter i'm going to get my partner to do it he's   he looks quite good standing next to him he's he's
all sort of bits and pieces comes with a little   his little walking stick this is supposed to be
Von Richthofen the thing i like about it the most   is the jacket is actually separate so you can
build him without the jacket or you can build   him with the jacket he looks better with the
jacket but the jacket's flexible so you can sort   of get the nice shapes to it and things like that
so you just fit it around oops lost his foot but   it's quite it's a different concept they are doing
a supple triplane i believe next so we'll look out   for that but look if you're just looking for
something fun and it's not you know you're not   taking it too seriously this is quite a nice
little model works well does what it has to do   and um as i said it took me about 10-12 hours
to do so it wasn't sort of over taxing whoops   anyway so there you go so other than
that have a great day see you then
