How to Install a GROM Audio Car Kit – Cushie Audio

hi I'm Justin from cushy audio today we're explaining how you can install this type of car kit into a factory cannon radio it's really quite simple you just need two essential items you need an interface box this ones happens to be the Grom USB 2 plus box and you also need a data cable now the gap data cable will be different depending on the type of car that you have and the type of radio that you have that can be selected on our website now this particular radio happens to be a Toyota radio but it's very very simple to connect this data cable these kits work by emulating an external CD stacker so this data cable plugged into the rear of the radio into what nobody would be the external CD changer port now of course nobody ever buy a CD changer these days that's not an option that people really want but this type of car kill allows you to do so much more you can install bluetooth auxilary ipod all sorts of things so you think how simple it is to connect the end of the data cable plugged into the rear of the interface box and that's it question we often get asked is where does this gift box get installed well it can be installed either behind the radio where it's not visible then you just run your audio cables to where you need it or you can install it in the glove box which is a great option and one that we prefer because it allows you to apply the firmware updates that might happen in the future so it's very simple and as you've seen no wires to cut nothing to solver and your car warranty is not affected finally another question we get asked is that once this kit is installed will my radio function stop working for example will as internal CD changer stop working the answer to that question is no because these kits function as an external CD stacker so typically what happens is that once it's installed your radio will recognize this as an external so you need changer and then you'll be able to press the CD button or in the case of this radio the disk button to switch between internal CDs and your external CD changer which happens to be the gramm audio box in this case so the answers to that question your CD changer your inbuilt CD changer will continue to function just fine and again no effect on your car warranty that answers those questions if you have any more please place them in the comment below or hit the subscribe button if you'd like to see future videos
