Hi all i just wanted to do a quick box opening of
a kit that we've been expecting for a little while this is one of those kits that
you thought yeah they've never it's been done so who would do it again because
there's not a lot to do however ICM decided that they would do it part of their trainer series
of aircraft this is the new 32nd scale ICM dh82 Tiger Moth this is the a model two choices of
marking in it as you can see so camouflaged and silver you can do an Aussie one out there
i believe there's two or three guys working on deckle sheets or have released deckle sheets
previously for the old matchbox kit now matchbox that came out in the 70s and 80s released by ravel
a few times look it's nice and it had its bits and pieces but it wasn't as detailed as this thing now
this thing is about 75 so let's have a look at it usual story with ICM they come in the box top
but then they come in a a proper box so you got instructions decals so the instructions are quite
good as you usually expect from from them okay so as you can see by the instructions it's all pretty
detailed now the frame as you can see is already etched or built onto the onto the fuselage just
with a bit of wash and weathering you'd come up with a really really nice frame so they haven't
made that hard part for you the rest of it is pretty straightforward it's got lots of detail for
the cockpit and all that sort of stuff it's a it's a funny thing that i know of two other groups that
were working on 32nd scale Tiger Moths as well so ICM has beaten them to it look is it better
than the old matchbox kit leaps and bounds these guys intend i've already seen that there's
two more coming including a Canadian one i'm also aware that somebody is working on a 32nd scale
conversion to do an Aussie ambulance one which some of those some of you might already know
so look it's nicely detailed it's got a few bits and pieces there that's the completed one
a bit of mask in it as well so there's your two schemes obviously Australian related we'll
be having doing all sorts of other schemes the actual plastic itself there's not a lot
but then there's a lot not a lot to the Tiger Moth actually there's the fuselage i was talking
about you can see the detail inside it so it's quite pronounced so it's not going to be just a
various flat sided pieces so it should look good nice engine in it the wings have the that's
nice texture to them the raised and or the the ribbing effect on the wings is not that
pronounced so it's not going to be to look too stark so looking forward to this one as it's
got a couple nice clear parts in it as well this is just ICM's latest standard this is just
really really nice so if you're looking to do a new Tiger Moth or you want to have another Tiger
Moth in the system then i'd come in and grab one of these as i said about 75 bucks so drop in
and see us that's it for today for this one
