hi there let's get started with the car [Music]
it's from 90s and full of details like all monogram kits it has only one flow it's not
124 scale it's 125. [Music] [Music] since it will be rusty and dirty i
will keep the build simple i will only apply standard fixes and improvements like cleaning the seam lines [Music] and like re-scraping shallow details with
a needle [Music] let's build the engine as you can see this old kit has reasonable
details for a good start to detailing however it's still an old kit and has some
build difficulties okay the main assembly steps are completed
let's clean these toy looking chrome plates for this job i use gel type bleach after a
few minutes the task is done i'm going to clean these parts under running
tap water of course i will wear gloves i never touch these chemicals [Music] first i apply a rear effect by sanding the
tires with a sanding stick for the flat tire effect i cut the tire both
sides first then i cut and cleaned the pieces between
these two slits [Music] then i fill this gap with ca glue and baking
soda of course while doing this i apply pressure from the bottom surface causing the side walls
of the tire to swell and create a flat tire effect after the failure dries i smooth the surface
by sanding and the flat tire effect is completed i apply some random dent effects to the hood
with number 15 blade now i can start painting the parts [Music]
primer first [Music] at this stage i realized that there
are no side windows in the kit no problem let's make them from scratch first i'm making a cutting template using
a tape this is an acetate sheet i got from the packaging
of a product in this way i have achieved the half opened
window effect first i paint the chrome parts and let them
dry i will apply a heavy paint shipping effect
this dark iron layer i am applying will be visible under the chipping effect i am applying hair spray to the areas where
i want to the paint chipping [Music] i can apply the main colors i don't know the original chevy colors i randomly
picked two colors from my paints [Music] i wrapped the wet surface with a sponge sandpaper
to getting the chipping effect now i'm applying a gloss varnish layer to
protect the old paints and effects while the gloss varnish is drying i'm painting
the interior parts that's quite unusual for car modelers yes
i'm applying a matte varnish layer to the model this varnish is must for the effect which
i am going to use on this model i use this technique mostly on military vehicle models
i need various rust colors as you notice before i make my own pigments from soft pastels in
this way i can obtain more varied and rich tones by using the colors i want zipper fluid
is the key it blends color by melting all pigments even if it dries a homogeneous powder
remains anyway you will see all these on the next steps first the entire surface is wetted
with turpentine this is important otherwise the effect will not work after that i apply
random dutch spots using with oil paints then i apply turpentine over on them to separate
them to the surface randomly i think the best way to describe it is to write on the screen
what i use you already see how they work since i will apply a heavy weathering to the
engine this is enough no need to paint the other details [Music] let's assembly the interior i'm not going
to show you the previous stages because i didn't do anything special i just painted
and applied a heavy wash that's all after assembling all of these the chevy pickup
finally appeared [Music] i'm painting the signal lights from the inside
[Music] now it's time to weathering the chrome parts
another unusual application mat varnish is the last thing to apply to a chrome painted
part but not this time i'm preparing a new mixture of pigments to
achieve the effect of dirt and dust in different shades this time i did not blend the pigments with
zipper fluid i am using them directly only one detail is missing sunburn or fate
effect [Music] and the weathering is completed let's add
the remaining details to the model i'm adding random cable and pipe details to
the engine after painting them i'm weathering them with
pigments let's add some dirt and dust effect to the
tires oh one final thing adding the windows and
weathering them okay let's build the base i'm building a frame
with some wooden sticks first [Music] then i'm filling this frame with a plaster mix
[Music] after it's completely dry i draw the concrete
block details with a needle [Music] now i'm painting the base with water-based
acrylics let's build some brick walls i'm cleaning off the excess plaster with water i'm gluing the walls to a cardboard block i'm going to use this magical stuff i covered the sides and the upper part with
cardboard blocks now i am applying this paste after weathering the walls the base is completed
let's build the garage equipments for that i will use this set and some extras [Music] let's start the modeling routine cut clean
assembly paint apply weathering and finish after applying primer now i'm applying dark
iron paint to the parts i'm going to apply a heavy paint chipping effect these parts
too again i'm applying hair spray to the areas
where i want to the paint pink then i'm painting all the parts with random
colors from my paint stock bedtime guys i'm applying gloss varnish to protect the
paint and the effect also i'm applying some decals come with the
kit after another gloss coat now i'm applying
a heavy weathering wash [Music] let's apply a wood texture effect to these
parts now i can apply the flat vanish layer to the
all parts wait i almost forgot the bonus details well thanks for watching this episode if you
