Fanhome Build the Knight Rider KITT – Stages 1-4 – The Hood, Tyre and Dashboard

Hello everyone welcome to my channel welcome to
my world this is the world of Wayne god y'all have been around me talking about this
isn't it but now we have
the first four stages of the fanhome version to build the knight knight bike KITT 8 00:00:14900 -> 00:00:22880 [music] I'm not kidding I'm telling you, I've
got emails I've had opinions, I've got everything but as you can see I'm finally
in the ex Four stages if you like what you see today you want
to get this for yourself and build for me I'll put the link here to the
fan home page you can get all of this from the first stage remember
at the fan house you And r2d2 you've got the star wars
encyclopedia you've got the dodge charger you've got the iron man
armor so uh a lot of stuff is over um, but you want to see what's going
on so let's show you what we're going to build now A little guide to [music]
because you can see that the first thing we
're going to do is we're going to work on the hood part here
eh we've got the hood grille that actually looks very Good
start I'm going to show you all the metal work to put some
labels that 's all we have to do at this stage and when I'm working
with metal I'm going to get my part of the work up the mat to make sure
this doesn't get scratched so you can see absolutely loads
of things here stage one we made the hood look like that lovely flawless
paint we already have the inside of the hood they even provided us
with a screwdriver so if you Without that you'll be able to start
working right away uh it looks like it's got good hints as
well uh we've got all the parts ready to build so
the first thing we're going to do is bring this grill here and bend this angle
it's 90 degrees now , I'd normally use my flat nose pliers, but as
you can see here it's big enough so the way I'm going to do it
is to have my metal ruler move my part of the job to upgrade Matt and
put it on my workstation
put it there along the fold line and then bend it and when you do that
you want to make sure you have a
nice 90 degree bend angle
but this looks good we can now have a nice 90 degree bend
i To bring the inner
er lining of the hood here this is going to go into this part it's
better to feed it from the bottom up
so it's like that as you can see
this is what the other side looks like this is going to use three The fixing AP screws
are now the set up screws here, you can see the letters that come in with them
, so you know which ones you're going to work with , and so there's one
, I'll try to screw down there with three screws and then on both sides Screw two and now it looks like
that and it looks like that and keep it that way round
we've got the hood lock and it looks like it is and you can see that
there are two pins on this just The two holes that are going to go in and we can see
this front inside that just came down now there's a pin here
I believe oh no they actually look exactly the same to me so I think
we put it somewhere It doesn't matter I think one of them is thicker but that
's where you go so then let the inside go around like this
we have the hood lock here and it goes into
the two holes from below so in this case it looks It's like
it's going to be fastened with ap screws again
so I'm just going to keep it in there with my thumb
until I get this one and then you'll find it's a lot easier
I haven't tightened it all the way up just to Get the other of them and then
tighten them all the way so that when it's inside it looks like that and
turn it over so you can see it from there on the side and
now where we have this part of the grill we get Got the air intakes
now this is the metal it looks like now i have one of my fingerprints
i will wipe it off soon it just goes over the top in
those parts it follows the actual shape of the pattern we got there
so it would be like Go through like this,
make sure all the sections are in a row , one on one side and
one on the other, it has some little lugs you can push it down
, now we're going to take the whole section here, we're
going to put it on the engine Covered, that means my hood
looks cute here, I love black, but we want to keep it that way,
that's why I put it on a soft surface because I don't want to scratch
it, And then we wanted to line it up so it would fit
the section perfectly, now the section is
just closed here and you can see I'm going to see if I can actually reinsert it
and I can be ACTU ally in it The
vehicle because that's going to piece it all together,
but it's all lined up , we do plan

Put in some oil, this into the metal you'll have an easier time,
because it actually goes into the metal part better, so every time you see the
metal it's always oil,
now I have six screws to put in here so I'll Get this all
in and I'll tell you what it looks like
but trust me if I gave you a tip for this build
I always say if you 're a regular on your channel probably
tired of me saying it now Put it in some oil, the oil I'm using right now
is just a free oil in an oil, in fact I'm from Weldon Pinched on Mrs Wayne
's sewing machine, but as long as it's
lubricated, I think any oil will work,
but all you have to do is use it to bite the thread here,
because some of the thread has gone ing Have
, you just saw on the other side there, they will need to cut
the paint for that channel , it's not too bad a part like this
, but when it comes to doing engine parts
it's going to be a life saver for you, So I wish I was there to reiterate the importance of
making sure those parts are in the oil, so I just screwed the last one in
here
and it's completely inside and it looks great now, this is
from that side , now on the bottom of the front
, We also have two screw holes that they didn't use, this time
they're going to use bm screws , in fact the screw told me that
it has the end letter m on the bottom which means
if it ends with the letter p, it becomes metal,
which means it Will turn into plastic so when you do
plastic I'd be worried about putting it on oil but
if you see it yes the alarm bell should go off
ending in the letter m
now the inside of the hood is fully in
place pick up down all we have to do is the hood hinge base and again it will
look like this this is a metal part on this version no plastic is there it
is just the part that is going to fit in there it will again
hold it with the dm screws ends with m it's in some metals
these are the flange screws and this is the first one you want to make sure anything related to the hinge is
as tight as possible
this will stop any wobbling when the hood opens and closes
but There you go and that's in place
so now we're going to add these parts to the hinge and as you can
see we have the letter l and we 're going to make sure it's facing
this side of the hood here this little corner is facing down so when we
put this it's going to go into the second hole and we're in the board and we
just put the first one and it's just going to get a centimeter screw in so it's going to go in the hold
so what I'm going to do is
put it Go in and show you what it's like
when it's actually in place, so it's going into the side now,
which is the longer one here because it goes all the way
into the hole in the back of that uh h bracket
, we just What's put in there it's called an H bracket yeah that's
what it's called right now this
looks like it's going to be this round with this
diagonally opposite this kind of like the little end of this part of the hat
and it's going to go into this The section is right here again with a centimeter
screw so here is the second one just
go all the way in and if I just show you how these look from the side camera
so we have this here
and it can be opened like that and then we got this right here can
open up like that and that's how they fit in
I hope that helps, but that's all about doing that stage [music]
so the second stage we're here we don't know what we're doing let's have a look, we're going
to Step by step we're going to start installing the
scanner and t the lens on the front which is the
iconic scanner the eyes on the front of the car actually
look pretty amazing so we're going to build all of this by how it looks er headlights
or reflectors To put in this
front position and then we'll go through the end of it will install the iconic eyes so
it looks like this is the whole car just got into this section
here so there you go, that's what it
all looks like here, I have to take this part out because that's
what makes the vehicle but look at
that looks good it's all metal
it's cute we're actually going to use this part first because the first thing I'm
going to do is I It's going to be a light stand and
now this is what the stand looks like as you can see here you
kind of like the white part of the dome and that's going to get to the point
so if I put this in there it would use A screw held it
in and I had that kind of balance edit in there and I tilted this on its side where it
's going I've oiled it because it was going into the metal but
they went so in place that's it It looks like from the front we can
put that one because we're dealing with these headlights right now,
and it's pretty simple, the first thing we're going to do is put the lenses into these cups, and they're just
pushing in from that side, in There they can hold
themselves, but they should look like that, so we have a
number two , and then finally a
number three, and once we're done, we're going to put
all the supports on, so there's an orientation,
they Moving on so they fit perfectly but this is how they want to get in and
they're going to have two ap screws in those two holes
now remember these are
plastic so you don't have to worry about putting them in oil so I'll put one
here and hold it nice and tight and
put one on the bottom so that it keeps the ole unit
in place and it will
do the exact same thing on the other two we Go all three are
done these shots won't fall off now this is a complete unit
now we're going to start installing it in
front of the grill section so the first one will continue to
the point where we can see here and These two dots on the bottom diagonal
so I'm going to line it up like here, that's going to be
in Beijing, China with the am screw remember they
end in erm so I'm going to put some oil in here
so this is a just got The second time is on and a person's number 2 and then we're just about to go ahead
and do the rest in exactly the same way so we have a diagonal moving here
so line them up and put them again There, and screwed under it , then finally the next diagonal
.

There they do
sit there by themselves and that's pretty good so it does help you
line it up nice
so there's one on the bottom so the
three are in place if I show you on the top camera what it
looks like now let's move on to the iconic part of the car that
looks like what we want put it in these two holes so it
goes through the top this way
it should sit nicely The back of it, like now in the back
we have this plate, it's going to follow the directions that it's
going to go straight on top of that and
so that means it's just going up over the top lining hole up here,
that's going to be with it's probably going to be It fell off and I
uh left it with the universal screw
for me to put a remote in there to prevent it from tipping over,
so two universal screws went through
the holes on this side , I didn't keep it there
just wanted to put the other universal The screw is on the other side and then I tighten
these oils all the way
and the second one does this nice and tight
and we're there, the iconic sensor in place is great,
that's what [music] is all about at that stage ,
so In the third stage as you can see here we are going to deal with the first brake
disc and the tire or wheel so at the end of it we have attached the brake part
to the wheel so that's what we have here
All the parts you'll be happy to know that the wheels are metal you have
rubber the actual tire part here looks really good so the first thing we're going to do
is we're actually going to make the
actual wheels which means I just Check if there's an interior wall or
exterior wall there's a word I'm not sure about no but we want to
make sure the treadmill makes sure the pedals are even, yeah so we
can actually put it in places like this and that's how we're going to start
On the other side, we're going to put the edge on the other side, it's just
going to be with holes, we've got G-matching ot here on this side so I have
them all lined up so when I push it
can be a little weird and needs to be graceful A little bit
, but we've got all the line up there, we're gonna
put three screws here, they 're BP screws
[music] Now if you're like me there's
got to get those together I do the old way to put this Putting some hot water
in here only softens this material, so when I bite those problems together the screws
can actually hit so this time I'm just going to do
everything and you'll find
that they actually put themselves together very easily
actually I didn't even put any effort into this at all that time
I put these so if you have some issues you don't need
to be mad at it, once you heat this rubber a
little bit, they just blend together easily
but Obviously I won't tell you that What's done here
to give you
a little bit of boiling water like this, you don't have to put it in for a long time, put it
in there for about 30 seconds, take it out, it's softened enough
so you can put all this Pinch together
so all I'm going to do now is tighten them all the way up and then
you're done the tires are
absolutely perfect in there and then we're going to start making you
have to forgive the water in here now we're going to start making uh Brake
assembly so I have the caliper here and you can see the two lugs here on the caliper
and they fit right into those holes there so that it
goes in like it was with the bp screws and I'm going to take two ,
so one on this side is very good
and then one on the other side which is perfect and then all we
have to do is start making a
brake disc and it looks like this as you
can see we are here There are three lugs on one side and we just want to match them
there are three lugs on this side so it's going this way and I'm just going to be the p and
as you can see, put these together and you can
make A very real looking disc, it's simple, we just
put this disc under it like matching the shape there
so it's there so when we put it there
on the wheel they will all match
to a location, so in theory, once it's enabled , it'll
continue there, and then we'll do it by passing another component
through it to match it up
like this, now a whole, but to hold it in place, We're going to be
using the fm screw,
now the fm screw has
a washer that comes with it, so remember,
I'm going to put the washer on the screw and ready to go, I'm
going to dab it in a little bit of oil to hold everything in place together we're
going to screw it from this side and then hold everything
together so
you want to get it as tight as possible because if it's loose
you don't want any wheel wobble that's why oil
will help you out I can't And then get the reason you can see
it's stiff in there but the wheel is able to turn all
we have to do is put the hub on top that's what the hub looks
like it's plastic but it's going to fit those parts there so
just spin this wheel until it slides in there like that and then that's going to
be screwed in and now five of those and I'm
they're going to be in oil because they're on the vehicle my car looks like we haven't even
put it on Put in this will be the first round and we've
been saying, the vehicle goes into the metal
and then, this will be the first round in place now it's
done obviously we're going to repeat it three times
I don't know if this version has a spare Jurassic mine Meaning you would think that using a computer with
its own IQ would Can be uh
self-pneumatic tires I don't think t is one of the events that happened in Knight Rider
, but there's us going to see where it's all in place
and t at that stage it 's all
[music] yeah you Absolutely love the
last stage here it's stage four let me show you the magazine actually
it does tell you everything about the series uh some of the stars of the series there's
a lot of info on the cars here but we're going to start the
gauges The panel, basically all the signature features of the dashboard will be
included in this stage wow stage four this is a really amazing stage
we've almost got the whole console in there so for that
reason I'm just going to Tidying up my desk area as I don't think I need the
parts to upgrade matt it's worth noting that there are extra screws in each bag
so keep them safe in case you lose some
but you do get some extra So the first thing we need is the two
parts to look like this because we're going to make the kit voice box now
you see this part there's a little notch on the side just to
get into the section here like ACTUA lly
keep it there Great so now this is the dashboard we're looking at so far and
when you wait until the moment we see this it's going to turn
it upside down and we're going to put a little detail right here
that is 4N and it looks like Like this you can see a lot of gadgets
and I have bad eyesight when but let me tell you what they say
I've got my magnifying glass here but they say um fuel on
it says power min rev The fuel
and ignition ignition is on the bottom like
this so make sure we put it on the road so
we have the notch on the side facing that direction and
go in there like that and go on and on top of that this is
the voice box system we just made , it will go around this system to hold it in place
with bp screws so two of them are in place, one here and one on the other side so I'll tell you
the top in there looks like
that toilet is fine , isn't it the most iconic feature of the entire car
now? The voice box here looks a lot like my t-shirt and it's
available through my store and it looks like I put a link at the bottom with a
sneaky ad for some merchandise and it's going to be on the front
right where we put it below the section, it's going to go into this section, right
here, it's going to advance
, it should stay in there, like you can
see, we can put it together on one side because now
we're going to start now on the other Some dash work I've got the
panels here and I'm going to have them lined up
so one two three and four
and these are going to go in so their corresponding
enclosures are the same shape as this one so this piece is just going to fit
in here like you just put them as you can see they should hold
themselves with absolutely no problem so this is the first
here this is the second
this one here is the third these are going to be
backlit kinda glowing material so when we
have some LEDs in the back they light up
and finally this curved LED is the fourth
and they don't really have any issues so put it on the
front first dash first here is this ,
now it's going to be mounted on all those pins,
this is the lowest one, so this is really just mounting there like this,
again , that's the left side of the dash with the now BP screws we're going to put the
trim , now you You can see that we have two holes
here, they're just going to be where the ears come
over and hold what's going on to
help line up, it's also going to reinforce the lid on that part of the cover that we just put there
, we'll
Fasten it with bp screws and it will use this bp screw for free so I will put one along
this side one in the middle and finally just one on top
just the intention here to keep everything inside nice and
safe so I'm going to show you what
it looks like there right now so the next part we're going to
install is the speedometer, make sure we place it the right way
so it's going to look upside down to us this way
but we know This will fit in the right way again
with the two bp screws and in a similar way we got the
next section here again
with the bp screws uh very fast to build this
isn't it let's put those screws in
so there you go Those three that look good look good
can't wait to see now it's lit up we need the lower
button panel it's red and it's going to look like the square you can see on the edge here
So if I put them in,
you'll know how it's sitting actually holding themselves
where they're going to sit Above them we have a little box
here that holds everything in place and it's going to
be there on the top that way there's a positioning
lug there to help you and then do it again with a nice tight
tight bp screw on , that means
the last empty space we have here is for what we put in earlier, it
goes in here like this, and then two more bp screws on it
so I want you to see and see now It's exactly the same
and it builds up really quickly and it's not about putting it aside for a second
Okay next all we need are these parts so we now
have these buttons and they can be just because you're here There's a lip we've got
an angled top that's what the buttons look like

The wrong way to put it in
there, we're gone, so they're locked in place for editors now, so when
they're in they're going to look like they're
pretty influential, we're going to put this tab on top , now it's basically Will go on, this
way to close off
I'm right first time here it's gonna keep them all in place
, we're gonna make the connections, screw with the AP now we just need two of them
and we're off done so we have what we already have this
we have done here brilliant look at the dash and we
left some places where we have what looks like a
steering wheel
we also have this bracket here I guess the steering column part of it,
also we obviously have this part we
just made some general purpose screws we
need to secure and we have one last little detail which is kind of
like the red button here but we need to keep all
those parts until the next stage Safe because guess
what to do in that stage is what to do in that bag is we
go four stages at a time what do you think this is the build I love the quality of it I love
all the metal in it just the first time Seeing this dashboard
I can't wait to see it light up it's going to look amazing and obviously
you'll end up like a steering wheel in there you
can imagine what it's going to look like do you
have to keep those parts secure so I'm Will have to find a draw or
something to keep them safe until next time again if you want to get this for yourself
put the link here to the fan page you can get this all the way
from stage 1 I have a big smile on my face me Glad we
're on now, but I really hope you like that video, please
remember to give me a thumbs up if you did, and remember to subscribe if you haven't
subscribe others, be careful
[music] so
