Hey, Hi, Hello! There are a couple of car kits in
my collection which await their turn. As i have never built a scale car before I decided to start
with something relatively easy. So having in mind that scale modeling is an unknown territory for
my skills I grabbed a Porsche 911 Turbo 88 from Tamiya because it has the lowest number of parts
to paint and assembly. Some interesting story behind this particular model is nicely written as
an introduction manual, however it isn't mentioned that it is called a widow maker due to its weight
balance and powerful engine. This kit represents the second version of 930 Turbo, the one with
the intercooler with 3.3 liters and 300 horsepower engine. The original red color is called carmine
red but manual suggests to use TS-8 the italian red which I needed to decant to use with airbrush
because it's not available in jars as other Tamiya colors.
It was fun to build it but there were
couple of challenges like proper masking, proper thinning or polishing, however with the right tools
and trial and error approach everyone can try to build own scale car. I have to admit that it isn't
easy but really worth the time spent on it! Ok, so that's it! enjoy the video, have fun, subscribe and
leave a like! thanks for any support given! cheers! :).
