so here we are I'm gonna cast some of
the grey parts of the Monte Carlo LS clip but let me get some of that stuff
that you already cast it's gonna be these parts like the front clip and the rear
bumper and the mirrors, the side mirrors and of course the grill
that is what I'm gonna cast right now what I have over here is the smooth-cast 300 really good stuff I mixed it with some slight drop off so strong black
pigments and already mix it in this bottle which is really convenient I always
do that much easier to use that way so at least nine grams of part B and I mixed a
little bit more of part A I stirr it with a stick there's no rocket science going on here
it's pretty easy, pretty straightforward then I pour some of that stuff in here always use a little bit more so it will squeeze out on the top of the mold here we go squeeze it to all the excess resin comes out out on top and also on the sides the
same thing although this one doesn't have holes on the top only, will only
squeeze on the side so there's the excess resin coming out I put this one
on top just to make sure to give it a little bit more weight on the on the
front clip like this then I have some more over here I'm gonna do the grill
mold and I always have some extra resin thar I can use on some molds that I have laying around so everything's done as you can see and I'm gonna put this in the pressure
pot over here I always work with a pressure pot because it gives the best results no air bubbles very clean sharp parts I tried casting some of this stuff without a
pressure pot and it always disappointed me me so that's why I always use a pressure pot Put some pressure on it I use approximately 40 psi that's enough
for this stuff as you can see I gently let the air in not like putting the
valve open in one time just gently and now I close it at 40 psi that's
enough so, that's good! So here we are approximately 20 minutes later and I'm
gonna release this one and I'm gonna let the air out of the pressure pot I put it over here so I can show you guys as you can see I squeeze the mold on
the bottom there it is the rear bumper carefully remove it and that here it is
looks pretty good needs to be clean though remove some of the flash but it looks really good.
Now let's go to the these ones you have to be really careful
because these molds are really delicate because of the fine detail this also
looks very good as you can see sharp now here we have the small majestics plaques need to be careful with those because they are really, really delicate
let me separate them a little bit hopefully I can get one out right now
and in one piece there it is you have the tiny majestics plaques the front clip is also really good as you can see from the top there is some resin that I have to remove what I do like this so I release it from
the taps there are three types of course and looks pretty good just get rid of
the flesh I have a nice nice clip the cleaning of the parts is basically takes
the most work take the most time to clean all the parts so that's that is
next another thing I would like to mention is the use of mold release
multiple lace is very important to keep your molds intact it's pretty much a
mold saver so to speak so if you want to use your moles for a very long period of
time I definitely advise you to use multi release this is a water saludable
mold release made by ACMA's that means it will dissolve in water which is
really convenient for the end-user I mean you only have to use some dishing
soap and some some tap water to clean your parts and that's it with the other
more freely stuff which is mostly silicon based it's kind of difficult to
remove all of the silicone resin residue that's on the parts so you have to use
like very like purple powder or something to to make sure all the
silicone is removed from the bars but this stuff you don't have to worry about
it just using dishing soap with some water and it will dissolve easily the
downside using this stuff is that you need to use more so after well casting
two times you have to use another layer of this stuff the layer also has to dry
for at least I think half an hour to an hour so you can't use it spray it on and
get back to the job right away now we have to wait for at least half an hour
to an hour for the stuff to complete the stick to the silicone molds so that's
the downside but then again for the end user
this is the best stuff to use definitely you
