On September 29th and 30th, there was the
All Japan Model & Hobby Show 2022. Bandai held their kit reveals at this event and displayed
many new kits, including the recently announced 20th Anniversary Verka and MGSD. Let us talk
about all the general release kits they promoted as well as the surprise kit of the event. ———————
(News-Banner) The launch of the new GunPla Grade, known
as the MGSD or Master Grade SD, which begins its maiden project with the Freedom Gundam
from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series, is one of the most significant announcements
in 2022. This new high-end SD brand integrates Master
Grade technology into SD Gundams, implements the broadest range of articulation and the
most gimmicks in the history of the SD series, and adopts overwhelming details. It's gotta be better than the past. Three movable axis are implemented in the
head and neck to create an internal structure that makes it possible to draw in the chin
and stick the head outward.
The connectors on the shoulders have swinging
mechanisms, enhancing the range of articulation in the arms. The forearms have extending gimmicks
that allow the arms to bend deeply. Multiple movable axis are embedded in the
torso to allow a wide range of articulation during forwarding/backward bending movements. The thighs have interlocking and extending
gimmicks. The knee armor and verniers behind the knees move simultaneously when the legs
are bent, gaining a wide range of articulation. Even the toes can articulate to achieve natural
kneeling poses despite being an SD kit. Expansion/contraction gimmicks in the wings
are unique to this plastic model kit. The wings have extending gimmicks. Their connectors
also have expansion/contraction gimmicks to recreate the Full Burst State without interference
with the beam cannons. Interlocking thruster gimmicks are unique
to this plastic model kit.
The shoulder armor parts deploy with the verniers
under the shoulders when moving downward. The rail guns have interlocking gear gimmicks
where the front and back sections unfold in conjunction. The Size shown is 115MM which equals 4.5 inches
tall. The pictures from the show look deceiving as they appear to have more height than four
and a half inches. The intricate internal frame, a feature seen
in Master Grade series kits, has been condensed into the SD format.
The internal frame has articulation gimmicks
at various points while being full of intricate details. The inner structure serves as the
core for fluid motions. The parts are cast in two tones to enhance the complex and stylish
design. SD Cameras use transparent and mechanical
expressions. Placing transparent pieces over intricate
internal camera elements creates realistic multi-layer effects. 〈New Technology〉
Reflection Cut They molded the molds to effectively cast
the pieces to reflect light with complex concaves and convexes.
New light expressions used transparent
portions. 〈New Technology〉 Realistic Metallic Gloss
Injection Materials that give off a bright metallic
sheen have been used for the gloss injection process to enhance the metallic effects seen
within the details. This SD kits Weapons are a Beam rifle, a Shield,
2 Beam saber Blades, and Marking stickers. They combined a Super Deformed GunPla's body
with Master Grade engineering! This brand-new GunPla grade combines the excitement of the
Master Grade and SD levels, providing a wide range of fresh GunPla experiences. Already
under development is the second model kit for the new GunPla line. The following big announcement of the show
was the Master Grade Ver. Ka’s 20th Anniversary. We are celebrating the 20th Anniversary reveal
with the most anticipated and latest Katoki Hajime’s entry to the lineup! The MSZ-006
Zeta Gundam joins the line with new designs and proportions that are accurate to Katoki’s
blueprints by being faithful to the anime's design.
The kit, of course, won’t be completed
without the Katoki signature decals! Zeta Gundam first appeared in the 1985 television
series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and later featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ television series
in 1986. Kamille Bidan piloted it during the Gryps Conflict. Bandai Hobby also elaborated on the 3 points
that this Zeta Ver. Ka has to offer. ANIME ACCURACY – The proportions and image
of the kit's overall build reflect the anime version of the Zeta Gundam.
NEW TRANSFORMATION PEAK IN GUNPLA HISTORY – Compared to its previous Master Grade model
kits, the Zeta Gundam ver.ka has new ways to change and advance that is more accurate
to how it transforms in the anime. VER.KA 20TH ANNIVERSARY GIMMICK AND EVOLUTION
OF MECHANICAL EXPRESSION – Mr. Katoki Hajime has studied how the Zeta Gundam would move
in real life by providing it with carefully planned gimmicks. Its engineering was also
revised and upgraded from its previous versions to make it more realistic and stable even
during its transformation phase.
Pursuing the proportions in the anime setting
draft by Mr. Kazumi Fujita. Build a transformation mechanism and refine
each unit's structure and form to ensure that neither the MS form nor the wave rider form
is compromised. Simplify complex gimmicks and realize updated transformations. By ensuring a broad range of mobility, the
MS shape improves the repeatability of positions in the play. A lock mechanism for each part
makes it possible to have a stable display like a fixed aircraft model in wave rider
mode. The kit comes with Hajime Katoki's water slide

The With from Mercury had a big showing at
this event. The Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury
TV anime series' newly revealed GunPla, is shown in large quantities on the Bandai Hobby
website. The kits will be available in Japan between January 2023 and March 2023. The following mobile suits from the series
mentioned above are in the lineup. In the latest Gundam series, "Mobile Suit
Gundam Witch of Mercury," a flight unit manufactured by Mirasoul equipped with Gundam Aerial is
commercialized! Saber grips can be attached.
It is compatible with the Wind Spirit Gundam.

it won't impede her leg movement, and the figure is easy to assemble thanks to pre-colored
parts. Her ears and ponytail can be posed after assembly, This kit will include three Tampo-printed
facial expressions, Joint parts, Hand parts, and An exclusive base for display. Kamen Rider himself from the 50th-anniversary
project "Shin Kamen Rider" joins the "Figure-rise Standard" model-kit lineup from Bandai! To
accurately depict the suit's myriad textures and intricate details, they redesigned the
aesthetics for this project.
The completed kit also has a wide range of motion. The flesh
that is visible between his mask and suit, his translucent compound eyes, and the hair
