Nate was so excited about this RC plane that he built it as soon as it arrived. This is the brand new FMS 1300mm PAS-18 Super Cub. It comes as PNP or RTF. Unfortunately the maiden flight did not go as expected and he crashed and demolished this rc airplane within 5 seconds. He is super bummed so give him so love in the comments.

This brand new airplane has got to be One of the most feature-packed airplanes I've ever seen and it comes in at a Couple different options you can buy This as a ready to fly plane or plug and Play and I am excited to talk about and Show you guys some of the cool features First and foremost this has got to be One of the coolest looking planes Especially in its size and category that I've ever seen I really love that Raven Kind of bird look that they have going On It's a great sized airplane first and Foremost very impressively fit in this Box and as I said it's packed full of Features for an airplane that is right Under 200 I've never seen anything That's this size that has ailerons Elevator Rudder flaps lights which look Amazing we'll show you those when it's Plugged in and here is the kicker here Is the crazy cool thing that I've never Seen on any Plug and Play bind and fly Or ARF kind of plane check this out took Me towards the end of my build I built I Grabbed the airplane by the tires and I Was like what those are rubber air fills Tires on a ready to fly or Plug and Play Airplane this is crazy I'm really Excited to fly this and it's brand new It just came out it actually just hit Our doorstep today so we're gonna put This in the air and see how it does
Remember the Plug and Play version is Right under 200 which I think is a steel And if you're new to Flying this has Flight stabilization so the plane cannot Get turned upside down and it still Comes in under 300 we'll have both Options Linked In the description box Below but before you buy it let's see How it flies let's go Check out those lights they look really Good this is an awesome looking plane And there's flaps full flaps on now I Have their flight stabilization on And we have almost no wind which is the Beauty of waiting until super dark Evenings like this Um so let's just try their fly Stabilization this is a good looking Airplane oh look at the tail up and There we go that was beautiful Let's go flaps off yeah I lost my Elevator It went out on flight that's why It gets stuck and up Stop working oh and I had no elevator Control From extreme excitement to reality we're Back in the shop and I apologize for the State I'd love to give you guys an Airplane tour one of these days and Really go through all of these when we Can like walk back here it's a little Bit backed up right now I might need to Get rid of a couple planes I almost fell
Yeah because you have a two foot spot to Stand in All right This plane's gonna need this sticker Amelia our daughter hold that together Okay so let's talk about what happened Well let's take a look at the damages Really fast first and foremost We it was cold it was 25 degrees outside And that came down on asphalt so it Crunched hard and so the plastic cowling Is busted the motor mount got a little Busted in there it's not horrible but It's definitely bent and busted And the real damage was just the foam Front end snapped off now if this were Any other situation I would just hot Glue that back on but my motor mounting Yes I know there's there's a Wing strut Cracked as well because of that sheer Force the wing can easily be put back on It's not that bad I've definitely had Worse crashes but the the reason for the Failure was a bad Servo on the elevator And I know this uh for a fact because of The whole process that I went through at Home getting this bound up I tested Everything obviously thoroughly before Takeoff Safe on safe off flaps all the different Switches everything is working fine but When we got out to the Flying site And geared up and ready to take off I Noticed my elevator Servo wasn't working
It was just nothing no grinding just Dead so I unplugged and replugged and Switched everything around and uh it Actually kicked it back to life so I Thought well maybe there was just a Loose connection or something and that Could have been the case Sorry Abby it's very rare for this kind Of thing to happen generally it's either A dead Servo or it's not I've never Really had like a loose connection Servo Situation but I think that's exactly What happened because I went inside to Fiddle with it some and I got the servo Working again I got it working Consistently safely thoroughly tested it On the ground many times before takeoff One would assume we're safe to take off So then Abby get out of the car let's go Film this clear for takeoff and as you Guys saw it went up and then it looked Like my Bigfoot failure crash well as it Was rolling on the runway we had great Control it was uh lifted off that tail Was very nice and smooth and it climbed And it got stuck in a full or almost Full elevator up position in which case I knew something was wrong I eased off On the throttle and it just came down Quickly and crashed and snapped now I've Already reached out to FMS and luckily They've got some good customer service And they are going to send I've got to Email them and let them though what
Happened specifically showed the damages And they're going to send whatever Parts I need to get this back in the air so We'll work something out and get a Decent flight video to you guys Down the road I'll follow up thoroughly with the whole Process I'm still very excited about This airplane if it weren't for one bad Servo we'd have had an amazing I hope Flying video this is a very scale and Detailed airplane And I love those air filled rubber tires That is just so very exciting I went Through a lot of emotions today there Were some moments where I wanted to I Didn't talk to him for like an hour or So after the crash just because I knew Don't well I don't approach him I give Him space I just uh it was very hard Because this showed up in the mail I was Like wow that's exciting and fun and new And let's get this we've got two hours Till sunset I slapped it together Quickly probably 20 minutes or so I was Very motivated and it went together very Well I'm very happy with the whole Process it also comes apart very well You see it just snaps right off dead Good joke and so to be excited and know That this was a new release it just came Out let's get out there and fly it and Have some fun obviously I'm excited to Bring that to you guys and uh for for a
Roller coaster of emotions to hit and Abby and I went out to the Airfield uh Twice we went out and it was too windy So we came back and so I'm telling you I Was very very invested in getting this Too guys uh so I'm I'm very disappointed Myself I wanted to just have a fun Flying video but This is our channel for those of you That have ever maybe questioned and not Very many people do but maybe Occasionally someone comes along and Says hey all you say are good things About things well I just enjoy life and And so I do say bad things about things Um even when they explode on camera I Just say it with a smile on my face and I don't cuss it out or anything like That You know I've got a lot of planes here That are great fun flyers and some that Are half broken if you look closely you Can probably see a couple my Sears right There is missing a prop and you may see That video coming down the road it's Just these things happen it's the hobby But it's okay this is okay if they have Good customer service this is okay You're not out the cost of the plane as Long as it's a good company and they'll Back their products so Um I just wanna remind you guys that This stuff happens to all of us and I'm Still very excited about this airplane
