Hello friends, nowadays there is an enormous selection of RC cars. But which are the best? You can find out in my Top 5 RC Cars video! Have fun! I mainly pay attention to the power and performance / size / technical data. Have fun! Let's start with 5th place. This is where the Absima Khamba CR3.4 Crawler lands for me. The 1:10 crawler is available in four different colors.
The crawler is equipped with a powerful 550 brushed motor and a very good, pre-installed and fully functional light. The built-in technology is also very interesting. The Khamba offers high-quality portal axles that provide more ground clearance … … 2 gears … … 2 individually controllable differentials and very good tires. In addition, the Khamba has a 5mm CNC-machined aluminum frame with an aluminum 4-link suspension system. In terms of design, the strong color of the body of the, in my case, orange model catches the eye. The robust-looking front with LED, radiator grille and shock absorber give the car a beefy appearance from the front.
On the side of the crawler there are many add-on parts such as door handles, rear-view mirrors, step struts and windows. The rear has a fully-fledged spare wheel with a bracket. The driving fun is not neglected either and I really had a lot of fun driving it in the Alps! It is also impressive how the Khamba mastered the difficult obstacles! The Khamba is available from 450 €. 4th place is the complete opposite of Absima Khamba. Because 4th place is a basher. The Arrma Vorteks 3s.
The Vorteks is a 1:10 Rc car, which comes from arrma. The 3s basher is powered by a powerful 3200kV spectrum brushless motor. Due to the larger standard 18T pinion, the Vorteks reaches a top speed of 86Km / h. With the included speed pinion, even 96Km / h should be possible. Why the Vorteks costs € 70 more than the Granite 3s and Big Rock 3s is justified primarily because of the improved electronics. The Vorteks offers the even better spectrum company 100A ESC, which for the first time enables all the advantages of a spectrum battery in a 3s Arrma. This is because the current battery status can be seen while driving on the also better Spektrum DX3 with battery display.
In addition, the Vorteks has the intelligent stability program called AVC, which means that the car almost never travels unintentionally. Now the AVC is off. The design of the 1:10 Vorteks is sporty and modern. The distinctive spoiler at the rear reinforces this impression. If you don't like the red color of my body, you can still choose between green or purple. The body is also of high quality and has many nice details. The bodyprotector on the roof was useful during my lecture. In terms of driving behavior, the Vorteks is definitely a lot of fun, but I noticed negatively that parts such as the differential, the servo or other components break quickly. But even if some parts break quickly, the lecture is so much fun that I actually neglect it.
But more about that in my long-term review about the lecture. For me, however, the electronics are the most impressive thing about the Vorteks, as they haven't been featured in any 3S Arrma before. The Vorteks are available from € 420, depending on the retailer. The new ARRMA Talion 6s EXB came in third. The Arrma Talion 6s has some special features, which is why it is in 3rd place. In terms of design, the first thing you notice is the extremely flat structure of the 1/8. From the front, the Talion looks damn bad with the well-designed light graphics and the red Arrma logo! What is striking is the generally very low height of the talion, which means that it works very quickly. A distinctive feature of EXB Arrmas, the Talion is equipped with very stable EXTREME BASH parts. According to Arrma, these are more robust than the normal BLX parts. But it is interesting that the talion with the Outcast 6s EXB is the first Arrma EXB with built-in electronics. That highlights the Talion again very much. The motor is a Spektrum company 2050Kv brushless motor.
The ESC has 150A, is capable of spectrum and 6S. Incidentally, it has two battery IC5 connections. The Spektrum Servo S652 has 19kg torque, which is common for 6S. -All parts that are otherwise only included in "Not EXB" Arrmas. The top speed of 113 km / h with the optional and included speed pinion is very impressive. It's really damn fast! One should keep in mind, however, that the talion drives "only" 80 km / h with the standard pinion. This is of course still fast, but still a clear difference to the 113 km / h with a speed pinion. Another positive feature is the very good AVC and the smart DX3 Spark from Spektrum. If you add it all up, you probably not only get a price of 750 € – but also a large sum of high-quality specifications and parts. 2nd place is occupied by the large 1/5 Arrma Outcast 8s. Because the Outcast is not just a beast in terms of size! Technical data, design and power are very monstrous. I think the design of the Outcast is extremely successful! It just looks massive with its slight retro touch. And to come back to the size. The Outcast is not only available as a 1: 5, but also as a 1/8.
If you then compare the two with each other, the gigantic size is repeatedly noticeable! The outcast is an incredible 71.4 cm long and 59.6 cm wide, which is a lot. The body of the outcast is shiny red and has many cool design elements. Technically, the fat 1250kV and 8s capable brushless motor stands out first. Through this the outcast 8s can reach a Vmax of 88Km / H, with the speed pinion. A very good value not only for this size. The engine is cooled by a fat fan during bashing, which makes perfect sense given the dimensions of the Outcast engine. The ESC has 150A capable and of spectrum.
What makes the outcast very unique to me is the fact that it can do backflips from a standstill. And not only that. The Monster Rc even seems to be able to do very long wheelies effortlessly. If you also want to do wheelies with the Oucast 8s, you have to pay around 1000 € for the 8s arrma. Whereby two 3s or better two 4s batteries have to be bought separately.
The Traxxas X Maxx is in first place! Also a 1/5 with gigantic dimensions. Starting with the design and the size, it becomes immediately clear why the X Maxx is so popular. From the front, the X Maxx looks really damn massive. In any case, everything on the X Maxx is really huge and lavishly designed. If you compare the X Maxx with the 1:10 Traxxas Hoss, you realize what huge dimensions the X maxx is. There is a wheelie bar at the rear for trips on two wheels. The feathers, however, are very large. If you believe the many videos on YouTube where the X maxx drives, the suspension also seems to be pretty good. According to Traxxas, they have put a lot of innovation into the X maxx, which is reflected in some components. But before that I would like to talk about the engine and ESC. The X Maxx motor is a 1275 kv brushless motor with a total length of 110mm! The motor is cooled by two fans and a heat sink.
The 8S capable ESC is also huge and has a fan. But now to the innovations on the X Maxx. This includes, for example, self righting. This means that when the X Maxx is on the roof, it can easily set itself up again at the push of a button on the spark. A feature that works very well and can be damn helpful for all journeys, if you don't want to walk to the car for half an eternity to get it back up. The next innovation concerns the mounting of the body. Say goodbye to the annoying removal of clips on the body and hello to a clipless body mount. This also includes the convenient removal of the batteries under the body without Velcro fasteners or clips. In addition, the X Maxx has TSM, which is basically like the AVC at Arrmas and is called Traxxas Stability Management. The X Maxx has many other innovative features, such as special functions on the spark, but there would be too many to list them all in this video. You can easily tell that a lot of work and the will to achieve perfection have been invested in the X maxx.
The sub-floor is made of plastic, by the way, which can be seen positively or negatively. With the included speed pinion and two 4S batteries, the X Maxx should reach a top speed of 80 km / h plus! Remember, the car is really damn huge and 80 km / h is a great value. All of this makes the X maxx the best RC car you can currently buy, also because the X Maxx seems to be very stable. If you want to buy the X maxx, you first have to pay just under € 1100 and another € 430 for two 4S Traxxas batteries with the included charger. All in all, of course, that is a proud price! But also probably the best in the RC Car segment, as it offers a lot of features!.
