This is Mark Radcliff, the original owner of Nate’s newest RC plane in his fleet. Mark built the biplane almost 15 years ago! In this video, he takes this Ultimate biplane for his final flight. This giant scale gas biplane is 46% scale and has smoke. One day, Nate hopes to fly it as good as The Legend, Mark Radcliff.

Today we're at the airport with two very Special guests one is Daniel our little Guy but more importantly today is Mark Radcliffe with his ultimate This is a 46 airplane and that's all I'm Gonna say I want to let Mark basically Steal the show here take it away you Guys saw the maiden on uh on our channel Of me flying it not too long ago and now Mark is going to show you guys what this Plane is actually capable of doing All right hello everybody again my name Is Mark Radcliffe I've been flying model Airplanes since I was five years old I'm 68 years old now so it gives you an idea I got involved at a very young age with My dad I eventually turned started Flying RC pattern airplanes doing Aerobatics I like that competition this Was in the 60s and 70s and partially in The 80s I was very fortunate I I became Very good and I was on four United States aerobatic teams flying pattern I've traveled all over the world with Model airplanes been to Switzerland uh South Africa Mexico and all over Germany Austria flying model airplanes so model Airplanes have been very good to me I I No longer fly pattern a few years ago I Got involved in bigger airplanes and This is the Hangar 9 ultimate that came Out I think around the year 2000 I put this one together in 2008 it's all Still original and it's got hundreds of
Flights on it it's a da150 power Does beautiful iMac style Maneuvers full Scale type maneuvers Today is the last day I'm probably going To be flying it I am currently selling It and Nate and Abby are going to be the New owners of this airplane so they've Asked me to put on a little demo flight So we're gonna do that so without Further Ado we'll fly it Foreign Trolls are all good Treat I'm here right now but if Daniel Makes noise I will leave Okay we're all set We're taking off Starting now All right we'll go down here turn around And come back and we will do an inside Loop with a snap roll And that is called an avalanche so we'll Come back on Smoke is on Inside look At the top of this Foreign Okay we'll go up here and do a split ass Turn around And come back and we'll perform a slow Roll S look easy but they are hard starting Now All righty that maneuver is complete Okay let's come back here and try
Something different All right next maneuver is going to be An outside Loop It's going to be an avalanche also Except inverted a roll inverted Negative snap Down on the back side negative All right Gonna come back and we're gonna do a Four point roll I'll put the smoke on on this one Four point roll Bigger than now And the maneuver is complete That's awesome Okay we'll come back in here and we'll Do a A double emelmann immelman is a half Loop with a half roll and this is a Double you'll see the difference Now the double part of it outside Loop Half of an outside And half roll Gonna come back up here turn around Again Foreign This is going to be an eight point roll I don't know how anyone can do that And I saw it all Okay we'll come back in and we'll do a Reverse Cuban eight so Smoke is on Reverse Cube and eight this heading Beginning now
Same thing looking back around Power off All right Next one back will be a reverse knife Edge flat knife edge one way and then Reverse it Reverse knife edge And maneuver is complete All right we're going to gain some Altitude now and we are going to do A reverse spin we'll do two spins One Direction and reverse the direction Two more Airplanes stalling out here And then to the left there's one Two spin to the right one two Pick up airspace That was cool Mark Okay one final maneuver it'll just be a Knife edge With just a knife edge pass I guess we Might call it a photo pass or something Foreign All right Okay we're gonna get set up for landing Now I'm gonna turn around here get Everything squared away on my end Uh All righty Turning Final Approach A little bit of a crosswind but not bad There we go And there she is
That was a little better than my flight We're going to teach you how to do this If you've ever wondered why I talk so Much in our videos it's those quiet Electric motors so if you want to watch Videos of me talking less we'll go gas They sound so amazing Mark's flight was Absolutely fantastic what a treat he Shows up to events with thousands of People there to watch in person real Time and we had a very special flight Today of him with his ultimate Marco Thank you so much for taking the time to Teach me about this airplane and Hopefully we see it at least a few more Times on the channel big family day out Guys we don't normally have Amelia's at Abby's feet I got Daniel and we're just having fun Making a full day of it so Mark any Final thoughts on the ultimate uh it's It's the ultimate airplane it really is A neat airplane it's so much fun at air Shows when you put the smoke on it I Flown this airplane in front of Thousands and thousands of people Um and one of the biggest shows that I Ever flew at was the Cleveland air show I've flown in there three times uh That's over Labor Day weekend every year They've got the Thunderbirds there and The Blue Angels and all the big names Sean Tucker and that's cool and I have I Have actually opened the air show flying
This airplane So uh it's this has been a treat in my Life to have this airplane and I uh it's Time that it has a new owner and Somebody to enjoy it as much as me and I Am today turning it over to Nate and Abby thank you We thank God for getting us to this Point for allowing Mark's path and our Path to cross to make this happen Without you guys watching over the last Decade or more some of you we couldn't Have made it to this point in time this Has been an entire decade in the making But because we've got the kiddos and They are ticking time bombs right now We're going to wrap this video up now Mark's flight was a real treat but if You want to see me in my maiden flight For YouTube that video will be popping Up right about now thanks for watching We'll see you there bye Foreign
