Hello everyone, so in today's episode we are making Toyota Corolla Levin GT-APEX from Aoshima. Before starting actual build we will quickly go to the contents of this box. So we have our usual Aoshima instructions. From first glance I can't really see any flaws on this car body. I really like to see clear parts already molded in the right color. I also have to mention that engine parts are included inside of this kit. It is not our usual chrome plating and wheels look very realistic. So it's time to start building and like every time it's the same procedure. As you can see there is one big structural part on the front. And it is very good decision by Aoshima. It greatly reduces risk of warping the body while shipping. Seats had some imperfections, so I'm filling them with Tamiya's filler. After I prepared car body for painting I secured it in place with double-sided sticky tape. Once again, for priming I'm using Tamiya's spray can primer. I'm cleaning and preparing small parts while there are still on the sprues.
For car body color I'm going for original car body scheme. It's a "Black and white panda" and I'm using Tamiya's acrylic white. For interior priming I'm using primer from Bajor. It is ready for airbrushing. After painting I noticed some painting flaws and those will be very hard to fix. For top coat I'm using Tamiya´s TS 13 from spray can. After interior painting I started detailing with my brush. I'm adding shadows with enamel wash from Mig.
All clear parts in this kit are already in the right color, so only minor touch-ups are needed. So again, I'm detailing underside with some acrylic paints and my brush.
